Phil Avison has been on staff at the club for more than 20 years and is the beating heart at Bainbridge Island FC.  It reflects his commitment to innovative coaching, progressive player development, and being part of building a club that our community can be proud of.

“Bainbridge Island FC, this island, and this community is in my blood,” said Avison”.  We continue to have the opportunity and responsibility to build something very special. We build soccer players, build kids and embrace the opportunity to positively impact the young players in our program. We embrace that privilege.

Phil Avison brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences to grow and improve the Bainbridge Island FC program from the ground up. In 2000 when Phil first joined the club the program was a fraction of what we have today. His work in coaching at professional clubs in youth programs in the UK provided Phil with the experiences to support his new challenge as he moved to live on Bainbridge.

The Washington State Competitive Coach of the Year in 2010, a plethora of State titles, and extensive experience of coaching Bainbridge Island FC boys and girls of all ages have enabled him to coach and mentor from a position of knowledge and expertise.

Phil’s coaching abilities, teachings, and talents continue to benefit developing great players both on and off the field, a key role for him now is developing coaches to grow their potential as leaders in the beautiful game.
