WINTER 2024
Our calendar for our 2024 Winter Development Academy (DA) season is outlined as follows:
Winter 2024 Development Academy Details:
Coaching Staff:
Girls Teams - Lucas Pearl, Sky Henderson, Sophia Wilson, Jessica Dunham
Boys Teams - Jordan Jungnitz, Jim Handy, Nick Martin, Ben Mello, Rebecca Ringdahl Miller
Groups will train two days per week with indoor games on a Saturday.
Players should sign up for a Monday class (indoors) which works for their family schedule, all Wednesday training sessions will take place at Woodward Middle School field at 4-5pm.
Saturday's game schedule will be released in mid-January.
No training or games during BISD's mid-winter break (Feb 17-24).
Game dates: Feb 3, 10, Mar 2, 9, 16 & 23 (schedule starts at 9am - 5pm).
Locations: Monday at Halilts or Sakai, Wednesday at WMS Field (4:00 - 5:00pm), Saturday games @ Sakai
DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY PHILOSOPHY
Bainbridge Island FC Development Academy is a unique program competing in a competitive (select) level league and tournament format. a competitive level environment, we host open registration for all 8- to 9-year-olds who would like to be part of the program.
Rather than hold tryouts, where 8-9-year old are told if they are good enough or not to participate in a competitive (select) level
environment, we host open registration for all 8- to 9-year-olds who would like to be part of the program.
From 2023 North Puget Sound League (NPSL) has introduced the Peninsula League which enables our Development Academy teams to play all our games
on the Olympic Peninsula against Central Kitsap, Tracyton, Sequim, and North Kitsap soccer clubs. Ensuring an appropriate level of competition but also keeping travel at a reasonable level for our U10 players as much as possible.
Our philosophy is a simple one: we want to develop players who have fostered a love for the game!
