Recreational Program

Bainbridge Island FC's recreational program offers boys and girls (K - 12th grade) the opportunity to play with new and existing friends in a safe and friendly atmosphere in our fall and spring seasons.

Recreational Soccer - Spring 2018

Spring soccer allows players the opportunity to continue playing with old friends and new
in a fun community-based environment. All games and training sessions will be on Bainbridge, there will be no weekend games. Teams play against other Bainbridge spring teams.

Recreational Soccer, or grassroots is where soccer begins. These early experiences spark a child's love for the game. The focus within our recreational program is on the player, and how to ensure that player is able to learn, grow and have fun playing soccer. The spring season is the perfect time to come play.

Location: Bainbridge High School Grass Fields

Fee: Kindergarten $99; all other age $150

Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays (April 16 - June 6)


  • Kindergarten (coed): 5:15 - 6:00pm++ (Wednesday only class)
  • 1st & 2nd Grade (Boys & Girls teams): 5:15 - 6:00pm
  • 3rd & 4th Grade (Boys & Girls teams): 6:00 - 7:00pm
  • 5th-8th Grade (coed): 4:00 - 5:00pm

Monday: Skill Sessions focused on the individual player development, through individual and small group activities and games.

Game Day, coaches create game environments used to continue individual player development in a recognized game environment (**There are no weekend games).

Recreational Soccer - Fall 2018

Season: Late August to mid November, 2018

Games: Saturdays (possible few Sundays) with first game on September 8

Fee per player: $175 if register by June 30; $185 after June 30

Practices: Twice a week during the week*. Time/location will be communicated once the teams are formed and coaches are assigned.

Age groups/game format:

  • U8: 4v4 - birth year 2011/2012
  • U10: 7v7 - birth year 2009/2010
  • U11/U12: 9v9 (birth year 2007/2008 - teams formed by birth year)
  • U13-U19:11v11 (birth year 2000-2006 - teams formed by birth year)

4v4 & 7v7 teams
The registration fee includes two t-shirts. Please select the size carefully. BIFC will place the order according to your selection and there is no exchange. All t-shirts will be distributed to the coaches during the coach meeting in August. Players should pick up their t-shirts from the coach.

All players are required to have blue shorts and blue socks, which can be ordered from BIFC website.

U11-U18/19 Players (birth year 2000-2008) -
All players are REQUIRED to purchase a NEW basic uniform set - one jersey (blue), one pair of shorts (blue) and one pair of socks (blue). The cost of the set is approximately $36

You will received uniform ordering info (incl. jersey number) and link in late July or early August.

Team Placement:
All returning players who are confirmed and paid by June 30 will be automatically assigned to the same team as last Fall's team. After June 30, team placement will be depending on space availability.

If returning player chooses not to return to the same team, that player will be randomly assigned to a team. All new players will be randomly assigned to a team.
