Bainbridge Island FC

Bainbridge Island FC Development Acadmy

What is the Bainbridge Island FC Development Academy?

Bainbridge Island FC Development Academy is a unique program competing in a competitive (select) level league and tournament format. Rather than hold tryouts, where 8-9-year olds are told if they are good enough or not to participate in a competitive (select) level environment, we host open registration for all 8-9-year olds who would like to be part of the program.

Our philosophy is a simple one: we want to develop players who have fostered a love for the game!

Questions to ask yourself:
  • Who is passionate about soccer, you or your child?
  • Does your child play soccer at recess, at home, etc or do they only play with their team?
Frequent Questions:
  • Should I sign my child up for the Development Academy? First ask the question, is my child passionate about soccer. If the answer is YES! This would be the perfect fit for your child. If the answer is NO, your child would be better suited registering for our spring recreational program (April - June).
  • Will team rosters remain as is, from season to season? No, as players are still within the developmental phase, it is important that they learn to train and play with different players and coaches.
  • Can I make a coach or player request? No.
  • What if my child has other scheduled activities and sports? Please review our training schedule to make sure no conflicts, we want to ensure that players are respectful of their soccer and other commitments.
  • When will game schedule become available? In December.
