2018 Summer-Fall Development Academy

Parent Information Meeting: May 1, 6 pm @ BHS

Player Evaluations: June 11 & 13 - 6:00 pm @ BHS grass field

Training: Tuesdays & Thursdays (5:30-6:45 pm)

Summer Tournaments:

  • July 27-29 (Redmond)
  • Aug 24-26 (Bainbridge Island)
Fall Games:
  • Saturdays - starting September 8th
  • 10 games season

Parent Information Meeting (for new development academy players)
* Date/Time: Thursday, November 2, 2017, 7 pm - 7:30 pm

* Location: Marge Williams Center (221 Winslow Way West)

Teams: (children born in 2008 and 2009)
* 3 boys teams (3 spaces left)
* 1 girls team (full)

Spring 2018 League Play:
* Teams will play in the North Puget Sound League (Bainbridge & Seattle)
* 6 games league season
* Train on Wednesdays & Fridays

Development Academy Overview

Bainbridge Island FC and it's coaching staff are committed to the development of it's players through best practices policies and documents from US Soccer Federation (USSF), US Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). In addition to the governing and educational bodies within the US, we use player development programs and activities from Professional Associations and Clubs from across the soccer world.BIFC is committed to the development of it's coaching staff, through the NSCAA coach education courses, regular internal BIFC staff training and online courses.

Individual Player & Team Focus: Through Guide & Discovery, players will develop individual soccer and life skills, focusing on the following areas:

Soccer is a player centric game, coaches will create environments to allow player to make decisions and problem solve. Players will experience success and failure and will grow from these.
